Cubism is the signature style Picasso and most would say that he was the sole originator, but another of his contemporaries need credit as well.  Georges Braque had studied Cézanne's method of representing three dimensions as seen from several viewpoints, in the same year that Picasso created his Les Demoiselles d'Avignon.
